Northampton Saints 81 – 0 Launceston
Skipper Bruce Reihana was an understandably happy man after Saturday's final National League One win over Launceston, a success that saw the Saints achieve an unprecedented undefeated league and cup season.
“We really wanted to finish it at home this year and to have a lovely fine day, a full stadium and to play some fantastic rugby was a good way to finish,” Reihana told TV Northants after the game. “I’ve tried to work hard and earn my jersey and my spot in this team. I was named captain, which I was very honoured to do so, and what you give, you get back. I’ve set my targets high and tried to achieve what we have had this year.
Tonga'usha signs again for Saints
Northampton Saints today announced that four members of the Junior Saints Academy have been awarded full-time contracts with the Saints Senior Academy.
Rob Milligan (number eight), Owen Giles (flanker), Liam Neale (flanker) and Nick Greenhalgh (centre) will join the Senior Academy in the summer. All four players are in Year 13 at school and are still teenagers. Nevertheless they have experienced Wanderers rugby this season in the Guinness ‘A’ League with Milligan and Giles both playing in the first leg of the competition’s final against London Wasps last Monday.
